When will the money be received if sent via SWIFT?
The money transferred via SWIFT will be received within 3 business days.
What is the maximum amount that can be transferred via SWIFT?
If transferred without opening a bank account - up to 10,000.00 US dollars (or the equivalent amount in the Russian Rubles). There are no restrictions to the amount transferred from a bank account.
Who shall pay the fees for a SWIFT money transfer - the sender or the recipient?
It is only the sender who shall pay the SWIFT fees.
How long shall the money transferred via SWIFT, but unclaimed, be stored in the system?
Within 180 calendar days (within the RoK), outside the RoK - according to the laws of the country of receipt.
If the client makes an error in the recipient's data when sending a money transfer via SWIFT, what should be done?
If an error has been made when sending a SWIFT money transfer, it is required to visit the Bank's branch, sign an application for making changes, and pay the fee according to the Bank's tariffs. The application will be forwarded to the recipient's bank.
May any third person acting on the basis of a power of attorney receive an amount transferred via SWIFT?
If the money is transferred from/to a bank account, the transactions on the basis of a power of attorney are allowed. As to money transfers without opening a bank account, no transactions may be conducted on the basis of a power of attorney.
If the sender makes a SWIFT money transfer in a certain currency, will the recipient be able to receive it in another one?
Depending on the laws of the recipient country.
Is it allowed to transfer money via SWIFT to legal entities? Or to receive the money sent by a legal entity through SWIFT?
Money may be sent via SWIFT both to a legal entity and individual. Money may be received via SWIFT both from a legal entity and individual.
Is it possible to cancel any money transfer that has already been executed via SWIFT?
To recall a money transfer, it is required to visit a Bank branch, sign an application for recall, and pay the fees according to the Bank's tariffs. The application will be forwarded to the recipient's bank.
